Viewing Customer Conversations

Access and navigate your customer conversations from the SupportRetriever dashboard.

Accessing Conversations

Conversations are available in the main dashboard:

  1. Log in to SupportRetriever
  2. The sidebar shows your conversation list
  3. Click any conversation to open it

Conversation List

The sidebar displays all conversations sorted by most recent activity:

Conversation Information

Each conversation shows:

  • Contact Name - Customer's name or email
  • Email Address - Customer's contact email
  • Last Message Preview - Snippet of most recent message
  • Timestamp - When last message was received
  • Unread Badge - Indicator for unread conversations

Opening a Conversation

Click any conversation in the list to:

  1. View the full message thread
  2. See conversation history
  3. Reply to the customer
  4. View metadata (if available)

Conversation View

When a conversation is open, you'll see:

Header

  • Contact name and email
  • Metadata button (if metadata exists)
  • Back button to return to list

Message Thread

  • Chronological message history
  • Incoming messages (from customer)
  • Outgoing messages (your replies)
  • Timestamps for each message

Reply Area

  • Text input for composing replies
  • Saved replies button
  • Send button

Mobile Experience

On mobile devices:

  • Sidebar is hidden by default
  • Tap the menu button (☰) to view conversations
  • Sidebar overlays the main content
  • Tap outside sidebar to close it

Conversation States

Active Conversations

Conversations with recent activity appear at the top of the list.

Unread Conversations

Unread conversations show a badge indicator. Click to mark as read.

Empty State

If you have no conversations yet:

No conversations yet

This is where you'll see conversations with your customers.

URL Sharing

Conversations can be shared via URL:

  • Each conversation has a unique URL
  • Share URLs with team members
  • URLs include conversation ID as parameter
  • Direct access to specific conversations

Permissions

Your ability to view conversations depends on your permissions:

  • Admin - Can view all conversations
  • View Permission - Can view conversations you have access to
  • No Access - Cannot view conversations
