Search Tips

Case Insensitive

Search is case-insensitive. "john", "John", and "JOHN" all find the same results.

Partial Matches

You don't need to type the full name or email. Partial matches work:

  • "jo" matches "John" and "Joe"
  • "gmail" matches all Gmail addresses
  • "help" matches messages containing "help", "helpful", etc.

No Results

If your search finds no matches, you'll see:

No conversations found

Try:

  • Using different keywords
  • Checking for typos
  • Using fewer words
  • Clearing search to see all conversations

Clearing Search

To return to viewing all conversations:

  1. Click the X button in the search box, or
  2. Delete all text from the search box

The full conversation list will reappear.

Mobile Search

Search works the same on mobile devices:

  1. Open the sidebar using the menu button (☰)
  2. Use the search box at the top
  3. Results filter as you type
  4. Tap a conversation to open it
