Changing Recipient Email

Update where form submissions are delivered. Email changes require verification for security.

Why Verification is Required

Email verification prevents unauthorized changes to where your form submissions are delivered. This protects your business from having submissions redirected to malicious addresses.

Changing the Email

  1. Go to Form Management (/admin/form)
  2. Click the Edit tab
  3. Find the Delivery section
  4. Update the "Recipient email" field with your new email address
  5. Click "Save Changes"
Form submissions will land in this inbox. Changing this email requires verification.
Note: You've changed the recipient email. A verification email will be sent to support@yourcompany.com when you save. The change applies after clicking the verification link.

Verification Process

After saving the new email:

  1. Verification Email Sent: A confirmation email is sent to the new address
  2. Check Your Inbox: Look for an email from SupportRetriever
  3. Click the Link: Open the email and click the verification link
  4. Change Applied: The new email becomes active after verification
Important: Until you verify the new email, submissions will continue going to the old address. Make sure to check the new email inbox for the verification message.

During Verification

While waiting for verification:

  • The old email continues receiving submissions
  • A message appears in the form editor indicating pending verification
  • You can resend the verification email if needed
  • The change is not active until verification is complete

Verification Email

The verification email includes:

  • Clear subject line indicating it's from SupportRetriever
  • Instructions on what to do
  • A prominent verification button/link
  • Security information

Troubleshooting

Didn't Receive Verification Email

  • Check your spam/junk folder
  • Verify the email address is correct
  • Wait a few minutes (delivery can take time)
  • Check if your email provider is blocking the message
  • Try requesting a new verification email

Verification Link Expired

  • Request a new verification email
  • Make sure to click the link soon after receiving it
  • Check the link hasn't been clicked already

Wrong Email Address

If you entered the wrong email:

  1. Update to the correct email in the form editor
  2. Save changes
  3. A new verification email will be sent
  4. Verify the correct address

Canceling Email Change

To cancel an email change:

  1. Edit the recipient email field
  2. Change it back to the original email
  3. Save changes
  4. No verification needed to revert
