Setting the Recipient Email

Configure where form submissions are delivered when customers submit your contact form.

Setting Recipient Email

  1. Go to Form Management (/admin/form)
  2. Click the Edit tab
  3. Find the Delivery section
  4. Enter your email address in the "Recipient email" field

Delivery

Form submissions will land in this inbox. Changing this email requires verification.

Email Delivery

When a customer submits your form:

  1. The submission is processed
  2. An email is sent to your recipient email address
  3. The email includes:
    • Customer's name
    • Customer's email address
    • Their message
    • Any metadata captured from URL parameters

Email Format

Emails from SupportRetriever include:

  • Subject: "New support message from [Customer Name]"
  • From: Your custom email display name (if configured) or "SupportRetriever"
  • Body: Formatted message with customer details

Multiple Recipients

Currently, each form sends to a single recipient email. To send to multiple addresses:

  • Use an email alias that forwards to multiple addresses
  • Set up email forwarding rules in your email provider
  • Use a distribution list or group email address

Changing Recipient Email

If you need to change the recipient email:

  1. Update the email in the form editor
  2. Click "Save Changes"
  3. A verification email will be sent to the new address
  4. Click the verification link in the email
  5. The change takes effect after verification
Important: Email changes require verification to prevent unauthorized changes. The old email will continue receiving submissions until verification is complete.

Email Display Name

You can also customize how emails appear to recipients:

  • Set the "From display name" in the Delivery section
  • This appears as "[DisplayName]Support" in the email's From field
  • Example: "mycompany" → "mycompanySupport"

Troubleshooting

Not Receiving Emails

  • Check your spam/junk folder
  • Verify the email address is correct
  • Ensure email verification is complete (if recently changed)
  • Check your email provider's filtering rules

Email Delivery Delays

  • Emails are typically delivered within seconds
  • Check your email provider's status
  • Verify your email limits haven't been exceeded
