Understanding Your Dashboard

The SupportRetriever dashboard is your central hub for managing forms, conversations, and settings.

Dashboard Overview

When you log in, you'll see the main admin interface with:

  • Sidebar - Navigation and conversation list
  • Main Content Area - Active conversation or greeting view
  • Settings Menu - Account and form management

Select a conversation to start chatting.

Sidebar Features

Conversations List

The sidebar displays all your customer conversations, sorted by most recent activity:

  • Contact Name - Customer's name or email
  • Last Message Preview - Snippet of the most recent message
  • Timestamp - When the last message was received
  • Unread Indicator - Badge showing unread conversations

Click any conversation to open it in the main content area.

Settings Menu

Access the settings menu from the bottom of the sidebar:

Menu Options:

  • Form - Edit and manage your contact form
  • Statistics - View analytics and metrics
  • Settings - Account and team management
  • Log out - Sign out of your account

Main Content Area

Greeting View

When no conversation is selected, you'll see a greeting message:

This is where you'll see conversations with your customers.

In the meanwhile, you can edit your form.

Conversation View

When a conversation is selected, you'll see:

  • Header - Contact name, email, and metadata button
  • Message Thread - Chronological conversation history
  • Reply Input - Text area for composing responses
  • Saved Replies - Quick access to reply templates

Mobile Experience

On mobile devices:

  • The sidebar is hidden by default
  • Use the menu button (☰) in the header to open the sidebar
  • The sidebar overlays the main content when open
  • Tap outside the sidebar to close it

Navigation Tips

  • Keyboard Shortcuts: Use Ctrl/Cmd+Enter to send messages quickly
  • URL Sharing: Conversations can be shared via URL with the conversation ID
  • Quick Access: The settings menu provides fast access to all major features
