Use the "Others" feature to mark conversations as out-of-scope, low-priority, or referral, and optionally hide them from your main conversation list.
What Are "Other" Conversations?
Conversations marked as other are still in your inbox but can be hidden from the default list. Use them for:
- Out-of-scope - Inquiries that don't fit your support channel (e.g. sales, another team)
- Referrals - Conversations you've referred elsewhere and don't need to track in the main list
- Low-priority - Items you want to keep but not see in the primary view
By default, other conversations are hidden. When you turn on the Others filter, they appear in the list with a small icon so you can still access them when needed.
The Others Button
When at least one conversation is marked as other, an Others button appears next to the "Conversations" title in the sidebar. The button:
- Shows a scan icon and a small count of how many conversations are marked as other
- Has a tooltip "Others"
- Toggle off (default) - Only non-other conversations are shown in the list
- Toggle on - All conversations are shown; those marked as other display a small scan icon to the left of the sender name
If no conversations are marked as other, the Others button is not shown at all.
Marking or Removing the "Other" Status
You can mark or unmark a conversation as other from the conversation actions menu:
- Open the conversation you want to update
- Click the actions menu (⋮) in the conversation header
- Select "Mark as other" or "Remove from other"
This works the same way as marking a conversation as read or unread. The list and the menu label update immediately.
Visual Indicators
- In the conversation list (when Others is on): Conversations marked as other show a small scan icon to the left of the sender name.
- Others button: When visible, shows the count of other conversations and is highlighted when the filter is on.
